New Shame

In August 2006 I posted a video on YouTube of the Shins absolutely butchering their most famous song, “New Slang,” in an outdoor concert they gave in Brooklyn. I’ve posted tons and tons of concert videos over the years without any sort of problem. Well, I just went to my YouTube channel and apparently the video was removed at some point over complaints of copyright infringement by Monotone, Inc. Which got me thinking… Instead of stomping around YouTube perhaps their publicist could use that energy to talk them into being better live?
